About the Author
Forrest Maready was born in Wilmington, N.C and grew up around a large film studio and the many movies and TV shows that filmed there. After receiving religion and music degrees from Wake Forest University, he plied his trade in the film and television industry for 13 years, working as an editor, audio engineer, visual effects artist or composer on two Muppet movies, Dawson’s Creek, Varsity Blues and many other productions. He spent another 10 years working as a creative technologist in the advertising and mobile app space as a programmer, designer and consultant. He maintains a popular Facebook and YouTube series called “My Incredible Opinion†where he opines on the hubris of human beings. Forrest lives in North Carolina with his wife, son & dog.

The reviews for this book are hilarious. All 1’s and 5’s. I guess Forrest has his fan club and his detractors. A good book either way. I’ve gone out of my way to recommend it to friends in the medical community as well as few others who are suffering from chronic conditions. Not because Forrest has given us the Hoy Grail that will solve all our problems, but because he’s made compelling arguments about why a lot of people might be suffering from debilitating conditions, that until recently, weren’t really a problem. Maybe he doesn’t have a degree in medicine or the sciences, but he’s got acute powers of observation. I’ve been chewing on these ideas for weeks.But really, the one star reviews, come on. Did any of them even read the book? As of this writing, not a single verified purchase among his detractors. Practically all pithy, ad hominem attacks. Toilet paper, quackery, unmitigated garbage, etc. Several say that he only wrote the book to get rich by bilking the gullible. Something tells me Forrest isn’t exactly sitting home dreaming about the luxury sports cars he’s going to buy with all the money this venture will bring. One opines they DID read the book and they want that hour of their life back. While Crooked isn’t a heavy read, skimming the book in an hour doesn’t count as reading. You have to wonder if any of the one star reviews weren’t astro turfers! If you are observant you’ll start noticing signs of facial paralysis and strabismus seem to be visibly on the rise, especially in babies. And everyone at this point has heard of a friend or colleague or relative suffering from Lyme’s disease, chronic rheumatism, lupus, fibromyalgia. (Really, it is not some form of modern hysteria, and no, they aren’t making it all up.)As far as discounting intelligent opinions in science, medicine, art engineering because the person presenting them doesn’t have the right degree, well most of our elected representatives are lawyers with fairly monotone backgrounds and yet we expect them to make determinations about a variety of complex subjects. And lately I would say more than a few people in the US and Europe seem to have had their fill with the “experts.â€Nuff said. Read it. Consider it. If you think he’s got it wrong, then let’s start seeing thoughtful arguments about what is actually causing this tidal wave of kids with autism, much less the ever increasing number of autoimmune disorders, Alzheimer's, Parkinson’s, CTE, etc. that never seemed to be a problem until recently.
Having experienced my daughter suffering what we thought was a stroke to her only set of vaccines at 10 weeks, I applaud Forrest for delving into this issue. Something is going on, and once you see it, you just can't un-see or un-know it. It really hit me most when I was doing my daughter's elementary school yearbook. I had all the photos on my computer and was just horrified to see so many crooked smiles, crooked eyes, and droopy faces. I went back to elementary yearbook photo archives, including my own pictures, and I didn't see this same phenomenon even a couple generations back in time. Kudos to Forrest for giving this the notice it deserves. He's not solving any mysteries. He's asking important questions that need to be asked and answered.
I purchased his book because I've been following the author's YouTube channel and because of all of the Trolls' one star reviews. They could not have possibly read the book, and I consider it an abuse of Amazon's rating system. Forrest has a gift for explaining complex ideas and a wry humor that makes his videos enjoyable. The concept of facial deformity related to metal toxicity is well photographed and described in Andrew Moulden:Every Vaccine Produces Harm. Dr Moulden "mysteriously" committed suicide just before the publication of a new book. America needs to wake up to what Doctors, hospitals and big pharma are doing to us and our children.Added: I notice none of the one star reviews are verified purchases.
Crooked is one of the best books I have read in a long time. Forest does an amazing job explaining complex anatomy and why our society is stricken with so many disorders. It was fascinating to learn about metals and how the body does not flush them out, rather holds onto them in our white blood cells. Then whenever our immune system responds to an injury or inflammation it sends white blood cells loaded with metals to the most vulnerable area of our bodies. We are supposed to learn from our mistakes but unfortunately, we seem to be reliving our past. Crooked goes back to the late 1700s and reviews cases of heavy metal poisoning. The author reads case after case from 200 years ago with details that could be pulled from any medical chart today. We are truly living in a country with man-made disease and disorders. It's heartbreaking because it is all preventable. To come to the conclusion that the only way to provide true heath is to ingest, inject and apply chemicals to our bodies defies common sense. I am a clinical massage therapist, who also studied physical therapy and neuroscience, and now focus on massaging jaw and inner oral to adjust crooked faces... Therefore, I pay attention to people's faces a lot, and realizing everybody is crooked in the US and Japan. I thought it was only due to the wrong bite and metals placed in their mouth(sometimes those metals pull in or out like a magnet inside of saliva)... however, I have to admit that I also see many people who does not have any teeth problem has that too. Thank you for giving me one more clue to this puzzle.

With all the bought and paid for "science", made popular by blind allegiance to its advertising rather than careful reading of the actual publications (making that "science" into religion) - a book like this that breaks it all down, refers to THE ACTUAL STUDIES AND SCIENCE (and not just the marketing for it), is refreshing. Open your mind and get out of your programming. You might learn something that will amaze you, and most likely infuriate you.There IS a cause. There IS a trigger - and it's not simply genetics. Heavy metals, with the highest consistent dosages in our human history coming from vaccines, are triggers for all sorts of illnesses. And ridding the body of these specific heavy metals can lead those injured back to a path of health. Forrest Maready nails this one on the head.
