About the Author

Matt Brown of Norwood, Massachusetts, is now nearly nine years removed from the incidental contact that changed his life. He is currently attending graduate school at his alma mater Stonehill College, with aspirations to launch a career that revolves around sports. His love for the game of hockey has never waned, and he remains a die-hard Bruins fan and an esteemed member of the informal hockey fraternity. Matt delivers inspirational public speaking performances to schools and civic organizations around the country. He and the Brown family are on the cusp of launching the Matt Brown Foundation, a 501c(3) nonprofit organization that aims to financially and emotionally assist those impacted by neck and spinal cord injuries. Todd Civin is a husband, father, of five children, and grandfather to three grandchildren with a fourth on the way. His family is his reason for being and he devotes every day of his life to their happiness. He is the founder and owner of Civin Media Relations (CMR), a self-publishing company that assists authors in sharing their stories with the world. CMR focuses primarily on the publishing of stories by and about people with physical or emotional differences. Loved this book! As a hockey Mom, I cried and laughed throughout it. What an awesome story of triumph when faced with adversity. I even bought a second copy to lend out! (I want nt to make sure to keep my copy!) I highly recommend this, even if you aren’t into hockey.

Wow. This book is one that makes it difficult to put down. It’s an extremely well written account of the trauma and courage of an amazing young man. Such an inspiration and a “real” insight into the emotions and trials of becoming paralyzed especially at such a young age. I haven’t read a book in almost 8 years but I can tell you I finished this in 3 days. Must read!

“Line Change” encompasses fierce determination in the face of extraordinary challenges. Matt Brown is an inspiration. Never Quit is an apt mantra.

This book should be required reading at every school in the country. Matt's story is one that every young adult will gain great strength and learning is endless. I see summer reading with books that have no meaning and students read them to check off they read them. This book generates conversation. You are engaged and feel a part of Matt's journey from the beginning. Looking forward to his next chapter....or should I say chapterS.If you haven't picked this book up, highly encourage you do. If you haven't given it to your children (athletes or not) , I highly recommend you do. You won't regret it. I am not an avid reader and I got through it within a few days. One of those "can't stop turning the pages" books. Five Stars+.

Hockey is family. This book is an honest look at Matt’s injury and recovery from all the people closest to him. Matt is an inspiration and he truly is remarkable is how he chose to focus on the positive after his injury. I have this book for my own son’s to read as they are hockey players and I struggle to find things they will read without a fight. Through it all Matt encourages kids to continue to play the sport and focus on the positive. I admire Matt and his family and encourage everyone to read this book. There are so many messages to take from reading this book.

As a retired trauma nurse and mother of four children that played hockey for years, Line Change is a book that should be required high school reading! I loved the intimate portrait of life among family and friends that Matt shared with the reader. I also loved the chapters from those that know Matt closely that gave another look at life with Matt.Inspirational, personable, “Never Quit” attitude!

Received my copy of the book on Dec 12th and started reading right away! Two weeks and was finished, which is fast for me when it comes to reading.. I could not put it down! Whether you have the pleasure of knowing the Brown Family or not (which i have the pleasure of) this book will tear at your heart strings! They are an incredible family, and Matt is a true inspiration!!PURCHASE THE BOOK! You will not be disappointed!!

I am very disappointed with this book. I was looking for some games to play on my black and white kindle and thought this book would have what I was looking for. A few years back I was given my first kindle and bought some games to play on it and they were interactive. There was minesweeper, a snake type game and a favorite was sort of like a puzzle numbers game. I can't figure out yet how to bring it to my newer kindle ereader or if it would even work with the newer one. But this book has nothing like that. It's basically has puzzle and such but you have to pick a, b,c or d for the answer. I don't see how they can call that interactive. Not what I was looking for at all. It might be okay for others, but not what I wanted.

Puzzle solving plays important role in my quest for keeping my mind agile and the puzzles from The Grabarchuk Family are some of the best on the market.'101 Puzzle Quizzes' contains well thought-thru puzzles, arranged from easy to hard. As usual, many different types of puzzles are included, such as logical ones, math, spatial, etc. A new type of puzzles included in the book is typitoons. Typitoons are delightfully wicked visual puzzles, basically a picture drawn out of simple symbols, such as dots, semi-colons, etc. If you know what this is: :) , you know what a typitoon is. The object of a typitoon puzzle is to figure out what the picture represents. So far I breezed through typitoons, and I hope the next volume of puzzles will contain harder ones to solve :)Overall, this is another great offering from The Grabarchuk Family, that will keep anybody busy for a long while, and inclusion of new types of puzzles shows that the publisher was not resting on its laurels but has been actively trying to improve on the already great formula. And the book looks really crisp on my iPad's screen when I play it in the Kindle app.Recommended.

I love these puzzle books as they are real brain teasers. The puzzles test your ability to do math, your visual perception, your ability to calculate volumes of objects, fold objects in your mind and perceive what the resulting final form will be. Going through this book is entertaining and fun and at times a bit frustrating. You can really discover where your weaknesses are in doing the puzzles. After you make a selection as to what you think the correct answer is then you get to see if you are correct with an explanation as to why. If you get it wrong then you have to go back and try again until you get the correct answer.The puzzles are ranked and you start with the easiest puzzles and work your way on to the hardest so don't think you are so smart until you get to the end.The book works on the Kindle Fire, Kindle Fire HD, iPad, iPhone, Android, PC, Mac or other devices using the free Kindle App from Amazon. The puzzles are presented in HD so they are sharp images and the colors are rich in appearance. The images are also larger and easier to see than ever before. There is a version of this same set of puzzles targeted for E-readers with e-ink screens. The Grabarchuk Family never run out of ideas for new puzzle books! I can hardly keep up with it. I think I will have to quit my day job and become a full-time puzzler! Many's the evening I have sat down with a puzzle book, and the hours just seem to fly by as I find myself engrossed in yet another book full of brain-blitzing, spell-binding puzzles. The interactive nature of the books is so awesome, as you know right then and there that you have managed to solve the puzzle!You definitely need to go that extra mile to get the answer right, and each individual puzzle presents a new challenge in itself. You do get better at it though! I have found that I am becoming faster at solving them - having said this, they never cease to present a great challenge to the mind. You'll find it's like taking your brain to the gym - everything becomes easier to figure out, not just the puzzles!I find the skills I learn solving these puzzles have a tendency to affect my abilities in other areas of life, for example reading and arithmetic become easier, and remembering facts and other information becomes easier. It really "beefs up" your brain muscles!! So, quite apart from being enormous fun that absorbs you for hours on end, it is also evidently beneficial for your health.I've got all their books so far, and will continue to collect all the books they create in future - keep them coming!! :)
