It appears the VP also has a thing for Mei and will do anything to get her for herself. But Mei has been running herself ragged as her grandfather is still recovering from his accident, can Yuzu and Momkino set aside their issues and try to help Mei in her time of need? Then Mei's father returns from overseas, and Yuzu is caught in the middle of a father/daughter feud. Can she help her little sister patch things up before their family begins to crumble?This second book has a lot of character development and back story revelations, from a rival for Mei's love to seeing why Mei is the way she has become (and find out she likes bears). All the while you feel the tension between Mei and Yuzu as the two feel drawn to each other, but not understanding why and not sure as to how to move forward as they are in a tenative position of being family. Will have to wait for the next installment to see what happens next, especially with someone from Yuzu's past entering the picture.

Just like with Vol 1 in the Citrus series, I finished Vol. 2 in one sitting. It really leaves you wanting more. And the author (AND the translator) are excellent at conveying the complex emotions of these too step-sisters. It's really quite amazingly deeper in fewer pages than the likes of "Girlfriends" or "Strawberry Panic" could ever be.At one point I almost shed a tear myself, because I also have father issues.My hope with the 3rd Volume (is it the last one?) is that Mei and Yuzu finally work out their feelings for each other.The one thing that did leave me questioning/confused in the first volume was exactly how did Yuzu's mother meet and marry Mei's father, if he's been busy traveling all over the place? Maybe this aspect will be more thoroughly addressed in the next volume, maybe not...it's really the emotions between the two girls that interests me the most.And the illustrations are excellent as well. Volume Two has definitely met my expectations.

Citrus: Secret Love Affair With Sister, Vol. 2 introduces a love triangle. Mei, the student council president, and her stepsister, Yuzu, have a little bit of a thing going, but when Himeko, the student council vice-president and Mei's longtime friend, makes a pass at Mei, things get complicated. Luckily, Yuzu has her best friend, Harumin, to confide in, but who does Mei have to talk her problems out with? God, I feel so stupid writing this. There are so many better things to read than shōjo, yuri, and joshi manga, and that's if one supposes that two teenage girls messing around isn't meant for creepy, older guys like me.It's funny. Citrus has great timing, and it's very well constructed. Sure, Mei's always-penitent glare can become maudlin at times (I took teh high-school English! Yeah!), but Mei's the real star of the manga. Yuzu is a bit unbelievable, going from being a regular high-school girl with a boyfriend to being full-on lezu the minute she steps into a boarding school, but that's the genre in a nutshell. Mei is a bit more complex, often with a sad look upon her face. Sure, it's cheesy, but it's good. ****

I first read a few volumes of this online, back when they were being released and I loved it. A week ago, when I saw a physical copy of volume 1 at a store I had to buy it. And after having read that, I've gotta say, reading a physical manga is so much better than just scrolling through pages on a screen. But I digress, I bought this one, and have 3 and 4 on the way. I love this series and have to say I'm very glad that an anime is airing! As for this, the story is good, the art is very well drawn, and the characters have such strong emotional hooks that got me invested in the series. A must read for fans of the yuri and shoujo ai genres! And I guess I should also add that my packaging was in great condition, it has a packet with bubble wrap internals and it kept the book safe without any bends or folds, so that was a plus!

I picked up Vol. 1 at a local bookstore, and was hooked. The characters are thrown together rather awkwardly, but that becomes part of the charm. Wondering how such a situation could occur is one thing, but the author makes it believable enough that the mystery if it will bring you back for more. While our main protagonist is definitely an open book, her new step-sister (and love interest!) is so tsundere, I feel a whole new classification ought to be invented for her. You definitely sense a deep pain and a lot of unresolved mental anguish. How will it play out as these two girls move forward with their lives? I can't even guess, and I can't wait to find out!

This is such an amazingly good story. I never, ever read anything, but these volumes have somehow gotten me to reading a full one each night.After watching the anime I just felt unfulfilled with it, but was wanting more, so decided to pick up the manga. 100% glad I did, it’s not only what I wanted but much more.Volumes 1-4 cover the anime, but with a bit extra. After 4 it’s just even better and doesn’t stop.

I am in love with these books!! If you enjoy female romance, forbidden love, possibly a little taboo incest between step-sisters, then this is DEFINITELY for you!! <3 <3 If you are just curious about any of those things, or even a dramatic, funny teen story, I'd give it a try(: I am on the edge of my seat waiting for more!!

Bought this book for my dad and father-in-law to tell them that my husband and I were finally pregnant. They loved it and my father-in-law actually thought I was giving it to him to read to my nephew at first until my mother-in-law asked if we were pregnant. Great gift for telling parents that they are going to be GRANDparents.

My Husband and I are 25 years old and Grandpa is in his 80's. We bought this for him as an extra gift and I'm so happy with it. The meaning behind it (Even if it is a children's book) Is fantastic and he absolutely loved it. It's not a typical gift he would ever receive so I am glad he read through it and now keeps it on display for when his great grandchildren come around to visit.

The kiddos got this book for Pap pap on Father's Day and each wrote little notes inside. The book is very cute and the sentimental meaning behind it will last a long time! Every time he comes over he brings the book and is able to read it with the kids making memories that will last forever.

Wow... this is NOT good condition... bought this for my dad at Christmas so he has books to read to his new grandson.. I had to tape most the pages and will just have to apologize for the ones missing half the page...

This is one of the cutest stories I've ever read!I love the way the grandpa bear adapted to being older and no longer able to do things like he used to. In its simple way, it shows that grandparents can still can teach their grandkids quite a bit-- and that the young ones can always learn from them!

This book let our grandsons see their grandpa in another way. It was well written and kept the attention of a 4 and 7 yr old boys.

I bought this as a gift for my dad. I think it mentions that the baby bear is a boy, but in my opinion it could easily work as a gift between grandpa and granddaughter, too. It is a sweet story with endearing illustrations.

Good info from a wide selection of movies.This book is great for picking movies you don't know, read something about them before watching it...The letter printing is quite small and I have had some trouble reading it... so I started using glasses with this book.Printing is two inks.

Do not buy this book if you own horror! 333 films to scare you to death, for they are the exact book. They switched the cover and flip flopped the authors names, other than that it's the same book.

FOR KINDLE VERSIONIf I could give zero, I would! There are zero graphics or pictures in the kindle version. I would not have purchased it if I had known this. Buy the print version only.

Must have for horror fans!

I bought this for my Ex-husband for Father's Day and he loved it. He is a collector of all things horror related and this was the perfect gift to add to his collection.

My brother is a huge horror movie buff. I bought him this for Christmas, and he loved it. This is saying something. It is comprehensive and fun.

"Horror" is an extremely juicy look at some (200ish!!) of the most influential horror movies to have graced the silver screen since the advent of the moving picture. A lot of familiar titles appear in this decade by decade critical analysis but it is the inclusion of a large number of world cinema and independant titles that really pushes this into the "must have" category. A well written, thoughtful and highly entertaining read that should be seen as a primer to the humoungous "Nightmare Movies" that the author has written! Great Stuff!!

I read this book twice from the library then bought it. The author's approach using the green/yellow/red lights idea is easy to use and explain, then to apply it to when one has or does not have an open heart or open mind in situations works for me. She does begin with talking about mindfulness and personal awareness of when one is open and closed, a reminder that it all begins with oneself and how aware we are.

While there is some valuable insight hidden within this book, I didn't feel like the book did a good job at conveying the most essential points. The writing was not very concise or well-organized, so that by the end of the book I still didn't feel like I fully understood the analogy of red-yellow-green light communication that the author had used over and over again throughout the book. I finished the book feeling like I got something out of it, but not really sure about what that something was or how to apply it to my relationships.

I highly recommend this book to anyone looking to deepen and strengthen relationships with people. It has helped my personal, professional, and academic areas of life.

This is the most practical guide I have ever used in evaluating my communication and verbal interaction behaviors. I used it in conjunction with the author's online Shambala course, and use the skills every day.

This isn't a book that can be read quickly because the wisdom that is there takes awhile to process. For example: The idea that to be defensive is the same as "toxic certainty"--and this did ring true in my own relationships. After reading this book, I walked away with a better understanding of how to improve my communication with others.

Fantastic book! A very simple way of communicating the basics of life and how we can manage our day-to-day conflicts. Highly recommend!

Not very practical or easy to read, and a bit "fluffy." Has some valuable information, but could have been written much more concisely.

As a former New Yorker who loves the Mets..I found this tale a lovely walk down memory lane with Casey Stengel and his lovable team..win or loose..we loved the Mets!!

Well written and researched. You can pick this book up and read it for 5 minutes or for an hour. If you like the early Mets you will love this book.

great stories from a great baseball era!

I purchased this book for my father, so I can't really review the book, but I will tell you it was a great price for some baseball history.

Bought this for my dad who is a (since their beginning) Mets fan. He definately enjoyed it, reading about all the characters from back in the day.

I could never forget the Mets as I was a true Brooklyn Dodger fan and the Mets returned my interest in baseball. I still recall all the laughter with there first season

There may never be another losing team quite like the '62 Mets. They are still referred to, even by people who weren't born or old enough to remember their season of spectacular ineptitude. The editing could have been better (in one section, San Francisco is misspelled 4 times), which I guess is perfectly appropriate for a book about this team. Baseball fans young and old should have a ball reading this one.
