Although the recipes look great and the book does a great job of explaining the diet. I have one huge issue. It does not contain any information on the macros and you have to figure it all out yourself. Granted different brands can change it a bit , but it would be nice to have an idea where to start with.

I thought you were doing great, explaining the keto way of eating. Most of the recipes looked good. But one HUGE error was leaving out the macros - how many calories, carbs, fat and protein?????

Starting this diet from a cancer diagnosis. Ready to get started on this new journey. This book is a easy tutorial to get started.

I Love this Series! I would give this 5 stars like I did all the other books but I'm irritated.The books are Not very long & you can fit about 3 books together to make 1 book. But instead we pay $4 for each small book. I love the series but considering how many books you have to buy & how much it's costing I'm starting to wish I never started the series! I feel the Author is milking us for all she can. I'm amazed how long this series is dragging on. I've stated before that she's my new Favorite Author. But I'm starting to change my mind on that because she should not drag a series on so long & charge so much.

I think it’s great that even after all these books, this series still has the ability to surprise me! This series has always been full of twists and turns and this 10th installment was no exception. Based on where things left off in the last book I was pretty sure I had a good idea of the struggles that our crew of The Shade would face in this one, but instead the story took a hard right and went down a completely different path than I was expecting! In this book we get much more of Caleb and I am as intrigued as ever by his character and was glad to see more through his eyes, I missed him in the last book. We also get snippets of a few other characters that we haven’t heard from in a while, so I really liked those updates and I liked the opportunities for future storylines that those snippets opened up.In the last book we saw how Kiev and Mona were woven back into the story and I think that integration was solidified further with the events in this book, we saw even more characters and places from that series come into play in this book. I think the author really did a great job of tying those books back into the overall storyline, it was seamless and cleverly done. If you read my other reviews on this series or the Kiev trilogy, it’s no secret that I am not Mona’s #1 fan but I actually found her to be likable in this book so maybe there’s hope yet for her to win me over! Only time will tell.I have to say, there is one chain of events between Sofia, Derek and Kiev that when it was first presented I had to fight the urge to roll my eyes. It seemed a little cheesy and absurd, but when it played out, it actually was quite comical and I found myself laughing out loud at what was going on. I love that in addition to all of the action and adventure in this series it can also make me laugh, really these books have a bit of everything!I really love that since the author has returned to The Shade that she’s popping out books every month, it’s just long enough in between so you don’t mind the wait but not too long that you forget everything that happened in the prior book. And the books are such quick reads that it’s so easy to squeeze them in when a new one is released. Ms. Forrest has created such a great world and strong characters and because of how she cleverly keeps expanding this world I think that this series can continue on for quite some time!

Sophia goes to some extreme lengths in order to get Kiev and Derek to be civil to one another. Rose befriends someone new who ends up betraying her. Abby and Ben seem to be getting closer while Aiden finally gets the courage to ask Adelle out only to find he is too late. Caleb once again saves Rose but will they make it home safely...this and so much more awaita in this story.

Bella Forrest has done it again. The pace is steady through the entire book and I couldn't put it down. I enjoyed the depth of the characters and how she has woven the stories together. She has also taken us on some twists and turns in the emotional story of Caleb which piqued my interest. I wasn't expecting the turn of events. Bella has a way of sucking you into the story and leading you where she wants you to go, while engaging you in the characters, leaving no one behind. She is an artist in her craft. Sofia has a moment of comical proportions in this book. Trust me, you won't be disappointed. Just be prepared to read it in one sitting because you won't be able to put it down.

what can I say another completely wonderful story.. I loved this story as with all of this series ...That Rose is always getting into trouble lol...well done Bella...I will be looking for part 11 soon...It is so great to get so involved with the characters that a person can literally read one of Bella's book in a day..Bella you are such an awesome writer I will never forget that you sent me your first book in this series by PDF when I entered a contest that you had through Goodreads.. you have made a fan with me..I thank you for choosing me to have the pleasure of reading your first book..I was so amazed at your writing techniques and how your story flows so well..so thank you again Bella for never letting your fans down...keep up the good work

This book drove me insane in a good way. Just when it gets to the most exciting point which I have been waiting for since the last 2 books, it ends!!!!! It is so well written and the characters come alive as you read it. All I know is Caleb and Rose better have a chance to be together now but I feel sorry for Micah and hope he is some how rescued from the island. I can't believe I have to wait a month to find out what happens next!

I'm not sure I have the right words for this installment of the Shade! There are so many things going on, and so many different ways it pulls at you! Not wanting to give any spoilers, I'll just say that this book is a must read! I love the characters in the Shade, and love that Bella has continued this series!!!! I'm stuck on the edge of my seat waiting for the next installment!!!

I am so glad I've started reading this series after several installment novels were written. I hate cliffhanger ending and don't have the patience to wait for the next novel in the series to be created. The shade series will draw the supernatural reader in on the first novel and take hold of them to the very end. They are fast reads . . .only because you can't place it down.

Thought is given to contemporary funerals and the question of cremation, for instance. Boekestein also laments that people today don’t speak frankly about death (p. 31). A brief discussion of purgatory (and its roots in the Roman Catholic doctrine of penance) is offered (p. 40), as is a helpful explanation of the Hebrew word sheol. He also presents Warfield’s intriguing position that the saved will outnumber the lost, in his chapter on Hell.The author is a pastor in a Reformed church and that comes through both in the volume of quotes from Reformed catechisms, confessions and authors, as well as from the quoting of several hymns that the typical evangelical would not be familiar with (p. 30). Eschatology or the doctrine of the last things is usually not associated with the promotion of holiness and godly living. In fact, it is usually associated with endless arguing and speculation about things no one can really know for sure. Bill Boekestein, however, shows that a proper, biblical understanding of eschatology can lead to holiness and godliness. The Future of Everything is a short read but packed full of practical observations on topics from how to understand prophecy to death and the afterlife to the resurrection and beyond. It promotes classical Christian views of heaven and hell without diving into sentimentalism or sensationalism. The strength of this work is that, though it is a book about eschatology, it seeks to show how the understanding of things to come grounds us in the here and now by informing practical Christian living. I especially appreciated the pastoral care taken in Chapter 3, "We Are All Going to Die." I plan on purchasing a number of copies to pass out to congregation members, new Christians, and just about anybody looking for a good book on eschatology.

The author was interviewed by Janet Mefferd on radio. His approach allows for much speculation with allegorizing and spiritualizing the text. He favors general meaning, not literal interpretation - Ezekiel is not about a third temple, it's about God with His people; Revelation isn't chronological events; Matt 24 is about being ready. This is NOT studying like a Berean, searching the Scriptures and rightly defining the Word.

I originally started buying the AJ & Magnus series because my husband is a huge Calvin and Hobbes fan, but we've both fallen in love with the characters for their own merits.

For those who miss Calvin and Hobbes, this could be the comic book for you. AJ is a little boy and Magnus is doggie best friend. AJ has two Dads and a host of other wonderful characters in his life. In this series the comic deals with topics like family dysfunction and autism very well. I love Dad's expressions which remind me of what I must have looked like when my kids were little. Keep the comic strips coming. I love everyone of them and they make my day a little better.

This book is the result of decades of birding by a biologist with a poet's sensibility. It's warm, witty, intelligent, and useful. The drawings are charming, and they lead you happily through each of Newberry's short subject headings. The chapter on bird walks should be required reading in bird circles.The book is not a guide, but it's helpful in many ways guides are not. It develops a big picture about, simply, how to bird. You'll learn small, surprising facts, and think big, unexpected thoughts. I just finished reading Sibley's "Birding Basics" and I feel I learned more from "The Ardent Birder." There are no charts or graphs--but a connection with what the very first birders must have been up to, long before the advent of standardized birding guides. It's a book about looking, experiencing, and enjoying the critters in the air around us.

This is an excellent book for anyone getting into birding. There's a certain etiquette and sensibility to birding that you might not otherwise know about, which can make your experience much more worthwhile. It's also nice to know what good behavior is when visiting another culture, and you might think of the habitat of birds in this way. The book is pleasure to read, even if you never get out there and look, but you will be inspired to do just that after reading this "future classic" as a fellow reviewer predicted - and which I second wholeheartedly.

Well written, draws upon expertise, experience and rye humor and insight.

This one was a little boring and rambling, sort of like listening to your grandfather's stories about birding in the "old days". Pere Dunne's book is a lot better.

The hard core will find little new in this book, but intermediate birders looking to improve their skills will enjoy and profit from the short essays. The author's style is easy and pleasant, reminding me a bit of Milton White's low-key (if not low-affect!) "Listen, the Red-eyed Vireo," a work Newberry cites several times. The final section, on leading successful bird trips, is likely to be the most practically useful (perhaps even to more advanced birders), but the sections on field craft can also be read with profit by the ambitious and the befuddled. The central section's "philosophical interlude" is no less well written, but not as incisive as, say, Levine's "Lifebirds" or Alan Powers's fine "Birdtalk."I was particularly pleased to see the American Birding Association and its publications praised and recommended.A good book for birders on the cusp of advancement!

This book will be a future classic for birders. I read this book twice within a few days. I never do this! I started birding a few months ago and reached number 99 yesterday. Todd's book has been a great help for me.

I read two or three of Kushner's books years ago, and found them to be incredibly wise and comforting. This one was a disappointment. Maybe I expected too much: I wanted help with a growing regret that I am not accomplishing or will never accomplish things in my life that I had always expected to do. It is a pervasive, over-all melancholia, and is based in seeing your health, vigor, and opportunities available only to the young slipping away. Instead, Kushner offers advice for losing one's job, or divorcing. The segment in the book on Alzheimer's, which is of particular importance to me, meandered off into a description of the Greek tale of the forgetting power of the waters of Lethe, and never came back to offer advice or comfort. Overall, I found the topics arranged in a rather bewildering way, with the transitions to Moses and his problems somewhat strained. This was unfortunately not what I was looking for.

Absolutely fantastic book on the subject.If I would have thought of it as a religious book I may have hesitated to get it, but by reading the free sample available knew it was just perfect.Excellent down-to-earth and extremely useful thoughts. It's not a book about a set of believes but about helping humans of all backgrounds to cope with life's unexpected situations.I wish I had read this long time ago and saved myself quite a bunch of headaches.

In my life I've read a huge number of books, to the point that some ideas are becoming to pop up over and over again, but with Kushner's books, new insight poses itself regularly. I find myself underlining or highlighting, or feeling inclined to anyway, most of the book. There are so many tidbits in this book that I love that it's hard to single out one to share. One I liked: An old rabbi named Zusya was nearing death and became agitated at the thought. As he had led an exemplary life, his followers asked why. He said, if God asks me why I wasn't another Moses, I can answer that He did not give me the greatness of soul that He gave Moses. If God asks me why I wasn't another Solomon, I can answer that He did not give me the wisdom of Solomon. But when He asks me, Zusya, why weren't you Zusya, why were you not the person I gave you the ability to be, I will have no defense. Kushner's books are a blessing to me.

Since I am Christian clergy, almost all of my study of the Bible has been dominated by Christian scholars. Thus I have not had much exposure to what Jewish scholars say about their own texts. This was a refreshing way to look at the life of Moses. Also, the subject matter was appropriate for me because I read it first just after I left parish ministry and now am reading it again, a few years later, with a small group. Many of us in the group are in our 50's and 60's, so the material is not only interesting as study of the Bible, but also helpful in negotiating this time in our lives. I recommend it to anyone, especially people who take a religious view on life.

I have enjoyed all of Rabbi Kushner's books, but this one is my favorite. If you suffer from low self-esteem, this book will help you put your failures in perspective. Even high achievers fail repeatedly. People who seem to be extremely successful often have agonizing failures in their history. Failure is part and parcel of the human condition. Our ultimate success should be judged, not on how many times we fail, but on how we live with and reach beyond our failures. Rabbi Kushner's wisdom and compassion are wonderful.

Great book. I bought it a few years ago and read it in paperback. I bought it again recently to read on my Paperwhite. I have read all but one of Kushner's books and have most of them more than once. I wish he was 25 years younger. If he was, perhaps he would honor us will many more books!

Dr. Kushner is one of my favorite authors and this book is just another great book to add to my collection of his writings. He is a wonderful man and is an inspiration to anyone who needs any amount of guidance to enrich their lives. We need more people like him in our world today, and for more people to read his writings. Then the world would be a better place.
