Not that he didn't talk about those things in his previous books, but the details given in this book come from the vantage point of someone with years of experience doing the very things he's exhorting his readers to do.That makes a big difference. He also talks about the price we pay to walk in God's destiny for our lives. We each have our own path to follow that's been laid out by God and there's no need to worry follow what someone else is doing.This book isn't about formulas. It's about Jesus Christ, the larger than life Son of God, who is willing to come and help you personally in your life as soon as you learn how to say what the Bible says about your situation instead of what your neighbors, friends or other people say.This book wasn't written so you'd become a follower or fan of Norvel Hayes. I also learned he stepped out of God's will and ended abruptly, this book covered it all and gave me insight I needed from the heavens above.Moreover, we are to search out God's destiny for our lives, accept our anointing and talents may not be the same with someone else, and resist the Devil when he tries to get us off course of our God-given destinies. We are to firmly believe in God's word and believe the promises that God has given us. Continue to pursue our destinies, remain encouraged, and receive the full peace and joy and be content. Remember our priorities since we will come against temptation, do the calling that God has laid out for us in His original blueprint. Nothing is impossible for God, stop looking in our natural eyes and seek for supernatural strength to overcome the enemy!

This work has many color photographs and color plates of the uniforms and insignia of the National Socialist German Workers' Party ("Nationalsozialistische Deutsche Arbeiterpartei") or NSDAP. It first covers the lay-out of the organization rank structure from 1932 through 1945. It has original color plates from Nazi German publications showing the different caps, ranks and collar patches. Chapter Two discusses "The Ortsgruppe" which was the local level of the Nazi Party. Fine examples of uniforms are shown by both original and uniform display photos. This pattern is continued thereafter. The book is good for the military hobbyist and student of World War II.Other chapters cover:Ch. 3: The Kreis - District level, similar to a county.Ch. 4: The Gau - similar to the state level. The head was the "Gauleiter".Ch. 5: The Reich - national level. In change of national level departments. The men were known as "Reichsleiters". Again nice photos of the men, their tunics, shoulder boards, etc.Ch. 6: NS Schools and Party Court. This was the party school system and court system (to rule on party cases and disputes).Ch. 7: Headgear.Ch. 8: Pennants and Flags. Including vehicle pennants or "Hoheitstrager".Ch. 9: Armbands.Ch. 10: Collar Tabs.Ch. 11: Medals and Regalia.Ch. 12: Period Publications and Documents.Footnote: This book does rely heavily on another book listed in its bibliography: "Cloth Insignia of the NSDAP & SA" by John R. Angolia, R. James Bender Publishing Co. (1985). I own that book as well and have reviewed it (rating it at 5 stars). It has been out of print for a number of years.

As is typical, Schiffer publications are of a high quality production. Photographs are reproduced in exacting clarity, making the items as close as you get to touching them. In this volume, Jeff Clark has been able to assemble an extensive collection of related uniform pieces that is amazing, especially given the "de-nazification" programs initiated by the Allies after WWII, where such historical things were destroyed.Further, his text explaining the para-military rank structure of these largely political/government entities (non-military), opens the door to a whole new arena of understanding what is seen . . . be it in museums, collections, original photographs, or film. I highly recommend this book to anyone wishing to better understand what the common German civilian of this era was surrounded by on a daily basis . . . and the greater influence it had on the population.

I have seen few reference books with such outstanding photography and informative text. Truly a superior work!

very good book, exellent photo's, text could have been a little bigger. i would have liked to see more on the nsdap ( napola ) school system. also, more info on the nsdap court system.

Another winner from schiffer publishing company. They always seem to put out the best reference books in the third reich area. While i'm not a collector of uniforms, I do enjoy studying the photographs and info in this book. This reference covers a great portion of the nsdap uniforms and has excellent photos to show in the field and being displayed in private collections. Although i have more of an interest in the german armed forces rather than the beureaucrats, I still find this interesting, and this would go well with any other reference material for uniforms and regalia.

It's my first book from him, but I do believe his other books/writings are equally special.I purchased both the kindle and physical versions, so that it's always with me wherever I go. I like the kindle version because we can download the books wherever we are, in all our devices. Besides that, it's easy to find the passages we highlighted and took notes, and even to reread them afterwards. But again, having the physical book is just unique.Finally, as a side note, when I purchased it, I also gifted my good friend with the same book. Although we live in different countries at the moment, I do think of him every day when we both read the passage in our own time. I say that because it can be a unique present to a loved one.Haical

After having been a Christian most of my life (even got "paid" to be one, working for a ministry for 20 years =), my spirituality shifted. I no longer am a Christian but I still long to fill that spiritual side of myself.So, for the past few years I have searched for a book that would really feed my soul. I have no idea what Mark Nepo's religious beliefs are. I think it may be intentional that he doesn't say. Maybe he, like me, is drawn to many spiritual truths and believes all can hold beauty and value. All I know is everyday his writing touches me, makes me think and slows me down for a few minutes to read and meditate on the mediation suggestions after each reading.I call this book my "non christian my utmost for his highest". If you have a Christian background, you will know what I am referring to!If you like me have been searching for something to feed your soul...this may be your book!

Difficult to rate this type of book. It's a sort of self-help type of book. There's a reading for every day of the year analysing some emotional aspect of life. Some days you'll find the readings more relevant to your own personal situation than others. Some of the reading are quite deep and require slow and thoughtful reading. Depending on your particular circumstances / mood on any given day a reading may really speak to you or you may get very little from it. This is a lovely book and for me most of the time I get something from the readings. We are all very different and this is a very personal type of book so impossible really to recommend to someone you don't know well.

All of the information is easy to follow, straight-forward, and will make a world of difference both in his experience, as well as hers. Using the techniques outlines, confidence and assurance will be better, and both partners will have a much better sexual experience.

I found it very useful. The book is straight to the point explains first the cause of the problem and then offers easy to follow techniques and exercises. The author has an inspiring style of writing and it gives him more credibility that he used to have also PE.I totally recommend this book for men who are suffering under PE and also for their couples enabling them to understand better the situation .

Excellent tips and advice, I found that there was some very practical and simple methods to improve your performance. I am a woman and bought the book out of curiosity to see how men could last longer in bed. I must say I am surprised by the many ways in which the mind can affect the body! This book is very much to the point, easy to read, and very rich in tangible information on how men could overcome premature ejaculation and provide lasting pleasure to their partners. The exercises are described in a very detailed fashion, too bad I can’t test them on me to see their effectiveness. I would definitely ask male friends to try them and let me know! Excellent read overall!

I gather this is a transitional book from "Winter Kill," which I loved and the next one in the series due in the winter of 2017. If so, perhaps Josh Lanyon--whom I love deeply for his ability to bring opposite men into bed--will concentrate a bit more on Sam Kennedy's POV, because that's my only complaint about this compelling multi-mystery tale (is that him on the cover?).Kennedy was a minor character in "Winter Kill," and in fact I don't remember him because the love story involved two completely different characters, Rob and Adam, who were much more defined in their sexual identities. This one focuses more on Kennedy's co-investigator, the younger Jason West, who is as annoyed to be assisting Kennedy (under FBI orders) as Kennedy is annoyed to have to take him on as a temporary partner.The fact that Lanyon uses Kennedy's last name and Jason's first name almost throughout solidifies a mutual standoffish attitude. That we are led to believe that Jason is still hot to trot for the older, burly, blondish hunk Kennedy without once knowing that Kennedy might also be attracted to the younger, more sophisticated, toned and articulate Jason, is a real eyebrow-raiser when they somewhat casually bridge the professional divide.As for the plot, we have an assortment of not very sympathetic characters, including the missing girl, and a lot of stressed townsfolk terrified that the original Huntsman was either never caught, or has spawned a copycat. The mysterious clues and the mermaid references are quite nicely handled, and the exposure of the killer comes as a bit of a surprise, with a sad motivational conclusion.That Sam and Jason (or Kennedy and West, however you prefer them) are still in a rubber band state at the end of the tale leads me to hope that the next chapter might be more definitive and include Rob and Adam. We shall see. Meanwhile, definitely worth a go here.

After interviewing residents and pouring over old case notes, clues start to reveal possible suspects.While West is open about his sexual orientation, Kennedy remains an enigma until one night Kennedy makes his preferences known. Being opposites, there is already palpable tension but after they find a working balance, it opens the door to sexual chemistry and Kennedy shares just how appealing he finds West.With West digging further and following a hunch, his inquiries raise a red flag to local law enforcement and draws upon past conflicts but he isn’t about to back down. Though Kennedy supports his partner’s zest, he also wants him to be careful considering what’s at stake. As they close in, it’s becomes apparent who the killer is.For some time, I’ve been curious about Josh Lanyon’s books and was intrigued to see this series offers a combination of murder mystery and art history. Told in third person POV, the narrative mostly feels like a detective story with special detail given to their surroundings that sets the scene in the mind’s eye. The romance is present but in my opinion felt a bit secondary to the plot but by no means was insignificant. For me, I would have liked a little more buildup between Kennedy and West, but I like how these two interacted and it fit their characters perfectly.As for the mystery, I had my suspicions from the beginning but the way the clues revealed some twists, it kept my attention until the end. Additionally, the conflict of West being connected to the small town added more interest. I am looking forward to continuing this series to see what transpires between Kennedy and West.For those who enjoy a murder mystery with a side of M/M romance, I recommend The Mermaid Murders.
