Holds Roosevelt Dimes that were produced at the Denver and Philadelphia Mints for the years 2005 to 2015. Slots are for 2 dimes for each year, one slot for each mint. The coin slots are nice and snug, not too small or big, but perfect.

Out of all the coin folders I think the dimes are my favorite. they slipped in effortlessly and there is room to grow in the 2005 one. the book isnt fancy or colorful but it's a simple concept and will keep the dimes. the books arent of the heaviest construction but they will hold a full folder. i'd buy again for all the grand kids.

I bought the entire collection of these folders that is available at the moment. They all arrived within a day of each other, as expected. New users may think they seem small but they are a very compact and inexpensive way to keep your coins organized. A great tool for the beginner or the experienced coin collector. Be sure to lay the binder on a flat, hard surface like a desk or kitchen counter when entering your coins and you should have no problems.

This is something I have always used and is still made of the same quality material. I am very happy to continue to use these from my childhood to my grandchildren.

Unfortunately, I ended up putting my thumb right through the book when inserting my first few coins. While I've had great results with Whitman products I replaced this one with a Harris-branded folder (also manufactured by Whitman) with a more plasticine cover that is more durable, that comes with a slightly different date range.

Kid friendly. 10yr loves it & can organize his coins by himself. Thank you for making my life easier.

I've been using these coin books for most of my life. In that time, they have hardly changed at all. The coins are hard to push into the holes, but it's supposed to be this way. Put the book on a clean hard surface, like a table or counter top, and PUSH hard. I use a lighter to push them in once I've got them in as far as they'll go with my hand. They are designed this way to keep them from falling out. The backside of the slot is only covered by a thin piece of paper that makes up the book's cover. This isn't an issue if you put the coins in correctly. If you do it incorrectly, you run the risk of pushing through the paper backing of the slot. I've used these books for years, and have had dozens of them, and never had a problem.One thing to keep in mind: once the coin is in, you should leave it there. If you put in a coin, and take it out, it won't hold another coin nearly as well. If you get one that might not be a permanent, and think you'll replace it down the road, don't put it in just yet. Other than that, these books are a great value. My family loves them, and it really does give us all something to do as a pastime.

This book is a scaled down version of the Children's Travel Activity Book & Journal (Bumper Edition) - My Trip to Alaska. There are no puzzles in this book., however there are pages to list the names and addresses of people you'd like to mail post cards too and pages titled, "What I want to do before I go", "What I want to see and do on our trip" and "What I want to bring on my trip." It is also smaller in size...6" x 9" vs 8" x 9".It has a very simple layout...space for recording the date, weather, "what we did today", "Some food I ate", and "What I liked Best" along with an area to draw a picture of something that you did that day. There are 14 of these sets of pages, enough for a two-week trip. At the end, there is a lined page titled "Things I will remember from our trip."Very simple layout but enough for a younger child...not overwhelming to have to do.Not sure it is worth the price.

Other than the cover that says "Thailand", there was nothing that made this journal specific to that vacation destination. Every page contained the same few items for kids to report on, and it looked worse than if the pages had been printed from a Word document and assembled into a book. We didn't use this item at all; instead, we used the Kids Travel Guide to Thailand- much more worth the money. I had hoped to return the item, but unfortunately it's past the time that it can be returned. I would NOT recommend this journal to anyone.

This is a total rip-off. Except for the little cloud on the front cover, there is nothing in this mentioning Disneyland. It's a thin notebook of cheap paper, with black and white pages for making lists and drawing pictures. The only color is on the covers. I'm certain that this is sold as a journal for every place people travel, with the word Disneyland on the cloud changed. It is nothing like its description. I'm returning it. I spent a little more and got what I wanted. This sure wasn't it.

I was even more pleased with this once I saw it. Small enough to tuck in a carryon entertainment bag. Has pages at the beginning to write what the child hopes to see when they get there. Separate page for each day to record what they did with space for their own illustration or to glue in a post card. My just-finished-1st-grade grandson is traveling to Alaska this summer and this will provide a perfect place to do a little writing, a little drawing, include postcards or photos, and have a mini scrapbook of his trip when he is done. Love it!

I was excited to purchase a fun travel journal for my daughter to use on our upcoming trip to Cancun. Unfortunately, the journal is very generic and not Cancun related at all. In fact, the only place that says "Cancun" is the cover. The journal pages are plain and generic with "what I did today" and "draw something you saw today" for 14 days. It is a waste of money. I'm disappointed it was not more fun and Cancun specific.

71 pages long. The front of the book is lined and guides some list making, the back is blank if you wish to continue journaling. Each day of your trip (up to day 14) offers your child a chance to write about the day and the next page page allows space for drawing. Interesting idea, but I was hoping for a bit more. Honestly, I could create this myself in about 30 minutes with a notebook and a just a few writing prompts.

I wish they would have show an example of a page, in order to gauge the age group this was geared toward. This is much too young for my 9 y.o. daughter. Will return and order a different one. For younger kids this seems to be good. Not too overwhelming - lots of drawing space. Simple design. Geared more towards 5 yo’s in my opinion.

My Mother wanted. a travel journal, for my 7 yr old niece who was going to Germany. The return trip was through NYC, where they would stay a few days. This is the cutest little journal and is great for allowing the child's personal thoughts.

I really like this color by number coloring book with large print pages. I have loved coloring since childhood. I like that these are not those Mandala books with with the designs. I was glad to see more coloring books for adults with simple artwork similar to children coloring books. I appreciate the additional pages added in the back of the book. Thank you.

NOT happy, because only half of the book is by numbers. When I order I didn't ask for bonus, which is half of the book with no numbers. If I want coloring book with no numbers that's what I would be ordering. I think it was waste of my money. Very upset, for wrong order.

It's nice but not very good for someone who is handicapped and has trouble coloring in small area's.

I am a buckle collector and wanted a book that had more in deplth information. As far as I know there are only two other books with information and I was hoping this one would round out hat was not in the other books.Nice book but only briefly touches on some of the information.

Much better than the digital version which was confusing because the pictures and text were not easily matched up.

A lot smaller than I thought it would be - paperback would be okay, except there are so few pages that it's just very flimsy. The information in the little book is good, it just needs more content.

In comp lit professor Kahf's fiction debut, Khadra Shamy recalls growing up in an immigrant Syrian family in 1970s Indianapolis. Khadra's devout parents raise Khadra and her older brother, Eyad, to be observant of Islamic customs. The inevitable culture clashes ensue, from taunts of "raghead" and "go back where you came from" to the varying interpretations of Islamic code among the community's other Muslims. The mutability of ordinary cultural crossroads—along with the shock of violent ones, such as the rape and murder of one of Khadra's friends—force Khadra to continually question what it means to be "Muslim" or "American." After a short and disastrous marriage to an overbearing husband (he forbids her to ride a bike; she has an abortion), Khadra travels to Syria—now mired in political and religious strife—and returns to the United States in the late '80s to continue searching for her own way in the world. Khadra is a compelling protagonist, and the supporting cast is varied and believable, but Kahf's authorial incursions—critiques of religion and society—are heavy-handed. However, Khadra's ever-evolving view of herself and her religion resonate and provide a valuable portrayal of an oft-misunderstood faith. This is such a good book! Written so well.Really depicts the struggle of living in two cultures. As an Orthodox Jew in America, I saw so many parallels between my life and the protagonist’s.Anyone interested in understanding cultures, assimilation, religion, immigration, discrimination, racism, Islam, or people in general - read this.

I really wanted to enjoy this book to gain an understanding of the immigrant experience from the point of view of an observant Muslim. There were two barriers to this enjoyment. One, the writing style is unpolished and, in my opinion, sophomoric. Secondly, there is an agenda to promote her beliefs in a way that I find vaguely insulting to my intelligence and way of life. I cannot recommend spending your time reading this or money to purchase the book. I have read much better from Muslim authors, and have gained understanding that is lacking in this book.

Using this novel as required reading for my Intro to Lit Freshman comp class because it delivers a rich mixture of the complexity facing Muslims in America. Students were at first put off by it, but by the time they'd finished it, all agreed it had been a valuable use of their time.

The prose of Mohja Kahf is beautiful and simple. She has a storytelling knack, but the subject matter is where she pours heart and soul. Khadra's growth as a person through her multiple identities as a woman, an Arab, a Muslim, an American, a student, a daughter, a sister, a friend, and so on, highlights the complexities that entangle first generation Americans who are caught in an East-West divide. They must navigate for themselves and create a space that did not previously exist. The novel sets Khadra's expectations of the world against its actual realities, but both the reader and Khadra walk away changed, and perhaps for the better.

With exquisite, poetic prose, Kahf teaches us so much about the diversity of American Muslims. You can see the commonalities between the immigrant Muslim community and the conservative Midwestern culture, between the child of Christian missionaries and the child of those commissioned to shore up and educate the faith and practice of Muslims in America, between the orthodox Jewish woman and the conservative Muslim woman, and the outsiderness of any religious person In secular society. Perspectives that I only wondered about, but never heard--on the Iranian revolution, Palestine, The Gulf war, the immodesty of American women, and the varieties of hijab.

Worst novel I read by a Muslim American, esp. the second part of the book after the protagonist is divorced!

I enjoyed this book even though I struggled with the flashbacks and all the characters in the first half of the novel. This novel is a coming of age story of a Syrian Muslim girl in Middle America. The novel follows Khadra’s navigation through her spirituality, cultural, feminist, intellectual, and religious identity.

Although I normally struggle to find fictional books believable, I found the voice of the main character to be very convincing. I was immediately pulled into her story and perspective. A great book for folks interested in learning about the culture surrounding Islam and American muslims. The author's portrayal is fair and interesting.
